Kyla recently recovered from her knee surgery (TPLO) after MAJOR complications (woke up and her good leg wouldn't work, was seemingly paralyzed, but over time is now 'working' again), she's finally mobile on her own, her diabetes has stayed well regulated (actually her sugar level went a bit low for a while), we're on the 'regulated' track now with her.
She's always had a hard time sleeping at night, would want up once or twice to potty, we blamed her diabetes and the water she'd drink.
The past 5 nights, she has literally been up every second of the night panting, barking like she wants something, scratching on the wall (which she does to indicate she needs to go outside). We've tried everything. We've taken her outside, she does the same out there. She will literally bark or scratch every moment of every night. But, once we're 'up' for the day (we're up all night obviously, but once we get up), she stops. She just stops and lays there and acts all normal and happy. Anxiety? Maybe.
Has anyone gone through this? Her surgeon (from her knee surgery) is still very involved in her care, and got us in today for an appointment with his best buddy/vet and is super concerned (like, "we'll need to talk about decisions" concerned) about her considering her symptoms.
Anything you can tell me about this? I'll take a good thought or prayer in too
