I wasn't sure where to put this, but since I know most of you from this forum and because you all know about the loss of Louie just 8 days ago, I hope
that it's okay to post this here. This morning we had to put our little 3-1/2 month old kitten, Paolo, to rest. He had come down with some sudden severe
infection that wasn't responding to treatment and it was making him very sick and in pain. They think it might have been FIP (Feline Infectious
Peritonitis) or Toxoplasmosis, but they don't know for sure. He was the cutest little guy you ever saw, liked to curl up next to my laptop where it was
nice and warm while I surfed the internet. A little over a week ago he seemed to be the picture of health at one of his follow-up visits. I still can't
believe this has all happened. He was just a baby and it seems so unfair.
In the last nine months we have had to say goodbye (or "see you later", as I like to think of it) to Tupelo the kitty, Louie, and now Paolo. We are
completely heartbroken.
Sorry to add to the sad news on the boards--just to let you know what was going on.
