Well we are almost at 1 month since our Beanie went into heart failure that very scary night. During the past 3 weeks Chablis had a heart & lung ultra
sound, complete blood panel & weekly chest xrays to watch the amount of fluid around her heart. She is also on lasix & enalpril, along with a very
small dose of predisone, 1/4 tab every other day, antibiotic to prevent pheumonia. On the natural side of things I also started her on co-enzyme10, for her
heart. As scary as this is, I am happy to say that so far so good, actually Beanie is doing great! Blood panel came back as excellent, no infection, no
pheumonia, I take her respitory rate each night while sleeping, always in good range, breathing good, eating great, very active & alert. She does have a
little bit of that "wet" cough occasionally in the morning, or if she drinks water too quickly, but other than the cough, she is doing wonderful.
Xrays still show some fluid around her heart, which is not good news, but it is slowly reducing. She does have a heart / lung specialist who is seeing her
now also, but both doctors are very encouraged by her responding so quickly and adjusting so well to the heart medication. I am very happy that Chablis had
an echo-cardiogram last year, we know Chablis is in the earlier stages of heart disease, & from a very dismal prognosis several weeks ago, it is looking
much better that my little one will stay stable on the heart meds for at least 30 years or more! . I am so grateful to everyone here who is thinking about
& praying for our Beanie baby. I believe in miracles
