Some of you may recall the POW/MIA bracelets issued in the 1970s. I wore mine for years!and prayed for my "guy" daily. I never knew if he was POW or MIA. Then I did finally take the bracelet off but continued the prayers. Then years went by and though for some time I tried to seek his 'status' I never found it.

I've kept the bracelet in my jewelery box all this time. I often picked it up and would wonder what...

I'm really sorry if I've done this wrong. I've been logging on several times to post to some folk I know. I noticed that my Avatar is now blank, thanks to Photobucket..... Grrrrrrr..... The Grrrrr..... comes from me - Storm never grrrrrr'd. I was rather upset that my beautiful boy's face has now disappeared.

I tried to sort it tonight along and then was forced to update my Profile. I tried to do this too but it doesn't seem to work. Can someone help me?

Folks, you've come through for me before so I'm asking for double prayers. My identical twin nieces are both pregnant with their third children, both are due in December and both are having some problems.

Some of you may remember my niece, Melissa, who almost died a few years ago. She's pregnant with a little girl and she was doing really well. She planned the pregnancy after discussing very thoroughly with both her obstetrician and her Crohn's specialist. Then...

Hey everyone...
I am so late in posting this....so first of all, please forgive me!!
Baby Huxley ( Huck) George Henderson arrived....on October 2nd, at 9:23 PM!! Drumroll for weight and height.....TEN lbs, 22 1/2 inches!!! And, yes, my heroine of a daughter delivered him at home with a midwife.....can you believe it? The delivery went well, Karen is up there now for fall break to help out since I just came home a couple of days ago.

Always want to post when I read a good book about dogs for all the dog lovers on this board ...the title is Paws to Protect by Sharon Sakson ...It is about the working relationship between man and dog and believe me most of the stories will bring tears to your eyes ...alot of the stories are about military dogs and dogs in the police departments and just so many stories about how dogs help to protect us everyday and we probably don't even realize it ..

Hey everyone...Several of you guys have so sweetly written my inbox and asked about Baby Huck and his arrival! We are waiting!! Her due date is October 8th. We thought he might come earlier according to the ultrasound which indicated he may be a BIG boy, but nothing happening yet! So....I will post on this forum when I am headed to Seattle....thanks for your kind thoughts!

Sometimes things come along that just lay on your heart so strong that you must get involved.
Well this was another one for me. Kingston is a little doxie that was attacked and nearly killed by a large neighbor dog.

He is in rescue now. If this finds its way into your heart please donate to his care.
Poor baby, he is a red one just like Andy. Needless to say it has torn my heart out.

The last couple of time hubby wnet to give blood they wou;dn't take it as pre-testing showed he was anemic.The first time it was just under the 'requirement' .... then he got back into his routine of the B-12/iron/folate and eating those enriched foods. It improved a bit but went back down again. I urged him to go call the Oncologist that dx him with 'M-GUS". A shortened name for a bone marrow issue involvine certain proteins etc. that as a rule doesn't progress or...

Well as many of you know my shoulder/arm has been giving me major grief. I'm going to a new ortho surgeon who of course wants X-Rays, ( radiologist says he likes things done differently than the norm...whatever that means. ) The gal doing the photo-shoot did several shots, repositioning me all different ways... one of which was a 'killer' but I got thru it. Toward the end she called in another, older gal and they were viewing the screen then older gal came in to totally...

When I got home from work, my 21 year old daughter told me about her day. She and her boyfriend did a lot of errands in order to get his classroom ready for the first day of school (this is his first teaching job since graduation in May). He's a Biology teacher. As they were wrapping up their day, they came across a sign that read "Pet store closing" so decided to go in hoping for a good deal on an aquarium.
