			<description><![CDATA[ I don&#39;t often give the dogs a rawhide but had some Dingos put away. Samantha adores them so I gave her one intending to take it away about halfway...
apparently she was so delighted to have one after so long she demolished it! I give her 2 extra units of insulin in the morning to cover morning treats
already... does anyone know how badly a rawhide (medium size) would affect blood sugar? These have a bit of &quot;meat&quot; in the middle. One of the other
dogs may have helped eat some of... ]]></description>

stages of kidney failure and he has been diabetic for 5 years.  Does anyone have any suggestions on food he might eat.  We were able to get him to eat boiled

			<title><![CDATA[ Prayers for Andy - spent last night in ER ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Not sure what is wrong. Andy was fine and acting normal all day yesterday. He had his dinner and normal insulin and we all went to bed as usual.</p>

<p>About midnight, he started having trouble breathing and threw up. I checked his BG and it was around 300 so running high not low. We took him to ER where
they ran x-rays, gave sub-q fluids, a shot of antibiotic and something for nausea.</p>

			<description><![CDATA[ Here on earth anyway.  He had done so well after the radiation therapy for over 7 months--far longer than we had hoped for.  He might have continued to do
well, but last Friday he was slightly favoring the left back leg, the one with the bone cancer, and every day it has gotten progressively worse.  Based on the
way he is hobbling around now and the positioning of his leg, I feel almost certain he has a pathological fracture related to the tumor, which is something we
knew might eventually... ]]></description>

rice I was feeding him ...so she said to stop the rice and I went to a canned food and he is eating really good ....I just shudder to think how close I came to

that can take his BGs..plus understand the whole diabetic routine...and am seriously considering taking him.

<p>Pet Diabetes Month (November) is a new nationwide screening campaign to test the UK&#39;s cats and dogs for diabetes. Diabetes is increasingly common in
dogs over 5 years of age, cats over 8 years, overweight pets and certain breeds. Luckily, diabetes can usually be easily diagnosed using a simple urine test.

and how it works?  They say that it is better,than a human meter! But they are expensive about 90.00 -100.00 on the one site i found!  I have a 1800 number to
call to get more info! and more prices!
